Petanque/Boules Club

Parish Tour Events Clubs Churches P.Council History Services Days Out
The Ilsington Parish team enjoy an occasional Sunday afternoon game of boule, playing against other South Devon Villages in the League.

The main purpose is the enjoyment of meeting others and having a relaxed game - previous knowledge is not necessary. Anyone can play and although most of our players are of the more mature parishioners, all are welcome, of any age.

It takes only a few minutes to pick up the basic rules, so you can play a game immediately. Unlike bowls no special dress or shoes are required. Although we have a local piste, run by the Dartmoor Petanque Club at Liverton, it can be played on most surfaces, such as gravel, sand, grass or even car parks.

Anyone wishing to just try a game, play for the team or join the Dartmoor Club, or all of these, please contact me at Middlecott, Green Lane, where we have our own pitch, or ring me on 01364 661 359 or Mr Barry Squire on 01364 661213.
